Our mission
To help people recognize when someone may be struggling, give them practical words and tools to reach out, connect people with immediate and continuing support, and help families after a suicide loss.
What we are—and are not
Leah Matters is an educational and community initiative. It is not a crisis center, treatment provider, diagnostic service, or substitute for professional care. We link to established sources and clearly separate lived experience from clinical guidance.
Our commitments

- Never publish method details or romanticized portrayals.
- Use direct, non-stigmatizing language.
- Protect children’s privacy.
- Do not publish unreviewed public stories or memories.
- Date, source, review, and correct prevention content.
