One mission, one public identity
Leah Matters Foundation is the organization behind this work. Leah Matters is the public-facing name, and LeahLivesOn.com is its home online. Together they carry one promise: Leah’s life mattered, and yours does too.
Our mission
To help people recognize when someone may be struggling, give them practical words and tools to reach out, connect people with immediate and continuing support, and help families after a suicide loss.
What we are—and are not
Leah Matters is an educational and community initiative. It is not a crisis center, treatment provider, diagnostic service, or substitute for professional care. We link to established sources and clearly separate lived experience from clinical guidance.
Our commitments
- Lead with human reassurance and clear action.
- Never publish method details or romanticized portrayals.
- Use direct, non-stigmatizing language.
- Protect children’s privacy.
- Moderate every submitted story or memory.
- Date, source, review, and correct prevention content.
