More than the way she died
Leah was twelve years old when she died by suicide. Her death is part of this story, but it is not the definition of her life. We will not reduce her to one day, one struggle, or one explanation.
Why Leah Matters was created
This work grew from a father’s promise: to help another child be heard, another parent recognize a change, another friend ask the direct question, and another family find support after loss.
What we wish every child knew
Your pain deserves to be heard. You are not a burden. Telling an adult is not betrayal or weakness. If the first person does not listen, keep telling. Your life is larger than the moment hurting you.
Leah’s light
In Leah’s name, this community chooses practical acts of connection: checking in again, distributing trusted resources, supporting schools and families, remembering the whole person, and making it easier to ask for help.
