Start with one true sentence. You can speak, text, write a note, or show them this page.
If there is immediate physical danger, an active attempt, or a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately.
What you can do now
Take these steps in order.
1
Choose a safe adult.
2
Say it is serious.
3
Ask them to stay with you and help you contact support.
Words you can use
Copy, send, or say this:
“This is serious. I do not feel safe with my thoughts right now. Please stay with me and help me get support.”
Who can I tell?
A parent or caregiver
A teacher, school counselor, nurse, or coach
A relative, neighbor, faith leader, or friend’s parent
A crisis counselor at 988
If the first adult does not listen
That does not mean your pain is not real. Go to another adult immediately. Say: “The first person did not understand. I still need help staying safe.”
What happens next
The adult may ask questions, contact your caregiver, call 988, or arrange an evaluation. They should not promise to keep danger secret. The purpose is to keep you safe.
